was once a hardscrabble “wilderness” became Washington’s most fashionable address at the close of the 19th-century.
- Penn Quarter: Tour downtown's Seventh Street corridor, where the 19th-century meets the 21st.
- Georgetown Waterfront:

trendiest areas in D.C.
