The 2011 season of weekly public walking tours has concluded.  We'll be back in April 2012.

 

SUNDAY

  • Georgetown: Washington's most famous neighborhood, known for its shopping, dining, night life and Kennedy pedigree. (resumes April 2012)

MONDAY

  • Public walks are not offered on Monday. 

TUESDAY

  • Public walks are not offered on Tuesday. 

WEDNESDAY

  • Public walks are not offered on Wednesday. 

THURSDAY

  • The Most Haunted Houses: Features a look at the Octagon, D.C.'s most ghost-filled residence. (resumes April 2012)

FRIDAY

  • The Most Haunted Houses: Features a look at the Octagon, D.C.'s most ghost-filled residence. (resumes April 2012)

SATURDAY

  • Embassy Row: Revel in the architecture along Washington's grandest boulevard. (resumes April 2012)

  • Before Harlem, There Was U Street: One of D.C.'s coolest neighborhoods is alive with African-American history. (resumes April 2012)
  • GET LOCAL SATURDAYS: A different walk each Saturday morning that highlights D.C. neighborhoods, historic sites, and local cafes and shops.  Many walks feature sites from District of Columbia Heritage Trails. (resumes April 2012)

  • The Most Haunted Houses: Features a look at the Octagon, D.C.'s most ghost-filled residence.  (resumes April 2012)

 

HOLIDAYS

  • The Blossom Secrets Stroll 2012 - The history and lore behind the exquisite Japanese cherry trees. Given in during the predicted peak bloom period of Washington's famous Japanese cherry trees.

Free Walking Tours in Washington DC
How To
 

Duration: Each walk lasts approximately 2 hours unless noted.

Weather:
Walks are given rain or shine.

 

Where: Most walks embark from outside a Metrorail station.
 

Who: Your guide will be wearing a blue and green Washington Walks badge.

Cost: $15 per person (kids 3 and younger free) unless noted. No reservations necessary!  Simply show up and pay the walk fee with cash.  (Groups of 25 or more should notify us in advance.)

 

"Memorials by Moonlight" requires payment via credit card.
