  • Capital Hauntings: How the ghosts and spirits of Lafayette Square came into being is the subject of this eerie perambulation.

SATURDAY

ONE-TIME ONLY WALKS

  • The Blossom Secrets Stroll - The history and lore behind the exquisite Japanese cherry trees. Given in conjunction with the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
  • Little Rome:  The Catholic Presence in Brookland Northeast D.C.’s Brookland community is often referred to as "Little Rome” due to the myriad of Roman Catholic institutions located in the neighborhood.  Washington Walks will offer a pair of two-hour walking tours through the community.

  • Foggy Bottom - Explore this former river front neighborhood located between Georgetown and the White House and home to the Watergate complex and John F. Kennedy Center.  

  • Logan Circle - Washington's most impressive Victorian residential district, as well as home to great shops.

  • Penn Quarter - The downtown neighborhood where the 19th century meets the 21st.

  • Grand Hotels - An afternoon stroll unveiling cool elegance and all the comforts of a luxury home.

  • A Nation's Capital Christmas - A holiday walking tour that includes a visit to the National Christmas tree.

Duration: Each walk lasts approximately 2 hours unless noted.

Weather:
Walks are given rain or shine.

 

Where: Most walks embark from outside a Metrorail station.

 

Who: Your guide will be wearing a blue and green Washington Walks badge.

 

Cost: $10 per person (kids 3 and younger free) unless noted. No reservations necessary.  Groups of 20 or more should notify us in advance.
