DWANE is a licensed D.C. tour guide, historical character interpreter, plus professional musician (bugler, trumpeter, and kazooist).  He portrays: Joseph Henry, First Secretary of the Smithsonian; Clarence Darrow; Mark Twain; John Philip Sousa; Walter Cronkite; Robert Frost; Ebenezer Scrooge; and Oliver Wolcott Norton, co-composer of “Taps”.  He recently co-authored “Images of America: Burleith,” the D.C. neighborhood where he has lived since 1999.  His favorite book about Washington, D.C. is Black Georgetown Remembered: A History of Its Black Community from the Founding of "The Town of George" in 1751 to the Present Day by Carrol R. Gibbs, Kathleen Menzie Lesko, and Valerie Melissa Babb.
