PHOEBE retired from the federal government several years ago, where she was involved in dry technical subjects. Tour guiding has unleashed her inner Liberal Arts major, and taken advantage of her degrees–a B.A. in History and a M.A. in City Planning. She has lived in Washington since college, and loves having time to pursue her interests in local history, the outdoors, and traveling. Don’t miss her volunteer tours at the American History museum! Phoebe recommends the book City of Magnificent Intentions, developed by the D.C. History Curriculum Project.

"Just a note to say we had a great walk with Phoebe today. She was friendly, informative and showed us a side of Georgetown we would never have seen on our own. Will definitely recommend Washington Walks." - review submitted via email
